Where can I find an email provider from which I can also send out newsletters?

Yahoo! although great for individual emails, does not cater for large numbers of (non spam) newsletters. I do not want to start a Yahoo group, but simply send newsletters and press releases for an organisation with 6000 members. Not getting on too well with Outlook, not least of all because unlike Yahoo!, it doesn't tell you whether incoming email addresses are already in your address book, and doesn't make it easy to add them either. In these days of technology, I am so surprised to have searched high and low for a package which I thought would be readily available. OK, there's packages such as Constant Contact for mass emailing, but although their newsletters look fab, you cannot scroll your email lists in this system and it's not an email system. Please, can anyone recommend anything that's easy and convenient, with great newsletter potential? Anyone here who knows about newsletter template design and databases etc? Help!!!!

Here are some excellent places to go for sending out large amounts of email (newsletters), however, they aren't free:

Reply:if you have an organization the why not just get a yahoo paid account and let the organization pay for it? it will allow you to send mass e-mail to all your members and show who is in your address book.
Reply:you can use something called lyris, they are an e-mail marketing and have there own software to do this, they offer hosted and unhosted solutions.
Reply:microsoft outlook is a good one for newsletters babe.
