Because they found a better one that offers more convenience, ease of use, storage size?
The main thing is the user interface - that we are comfortable with. I have 3 email providers and I find all of them great.
Why would people stop using their current email provider?

Reply:because they typed their old email address into every registration form they saw, and still wonder why their inbox fills up with SPAM.

Too many JUNK emails
Don't realize or understand that it is OK to have more than ONE email account!!! OR different accounts for different things - family, friends, junk, eBay etc.
Reply:Probably not... currently I'm happy with the way my email is setup

Reply:Because for example Gmail has a larger storage space than Hotmail or Yahoo. but Yahoo has more services if you have an account through them such as Chat as well as email
