Which free email provider should I use?

I do not need an internet provider, just the email, but it would help if the provider would allow me to have at least one sub account. Also am not interested in those that are just promotional "free" first month.Thanks.

Reply:why not just use hotmail? hassle free, great layout that you can somewhat customize, and you get a minimum of 250mb space, which will quickly turn into 1gb of space. Last you your whole life.
Reply:Bigstring is my provider of choice. You can recall or edit mail before or after it has been read. Tracking and destructing video for free. Not to bad.

the forwarding/POP and that stuff is easy and it WORKS!!!

Reply:I've tried them all, -ok most of them- and the best free web based email server is yahoo, followed by gmail. You already have a Yahoo ID, why don't you give it a shot and make it your default email provider? You can have many many screen names and 2 email addresses that load into the same account, so you can use your name for your defaul address and any nickname for the other one.

Reply:What's wrong with good old Yahoo? Obviously you must have an account since you do Yahoo Answers. I've not had any serious problems with it. No, I don't think it forwards other emails from your other accounts though. I only use the one account though so I don't worry about it. It also filters out most spam and has the option of calling certain emails spam so I don't get them in my inbox in the future.





My daughter uses hotmail but she says she can't send attachments with it. I don't know if this is because she can't with hotmail or if she simply doesn't know how. She seems pretty computer literate otherwise.
Reply:There are several free email providers out there and you don't need to buy any internet connection.. in my experience GMail has been the best so far.


In fact, rather than pay an ISP, you can get yourself a domain (it's hardly 6-10 USD per year) and use google apps for domain. That way you will have ur own unique email (which could be like yourname@yourdomain.com) with 2 GB storage.
Reply:I use the email attached to my mobile phone provider.... i have found you never get spam/rubbish, and with all the phones available now you can check emails on your phone.





hotmail and yahoo are ok if you want alot of rubbish.... or access to instant messenger.





so something as simple as a vodafone or orange account is just as good without the rubbish. You can still get attactchments and pictures sent so you wont miss out on the extras, plus you dont have to pay for extras like you do with hotmail and yahoo.
Reply:yahoo man your already here iv got msn aol and yahoo but I'm on my yahoo site the most for just surf in the web then i use msn for business witch i pay like 10 bucks a year for but i have no trash and lots of memory msn works good if you need to use a scan er or printer or fax or a office software that most email sites want give you for free but yahoos got the fun toys
