I have yahoo as my email provider...how can I recieve emails to my cellphone?

you have to get mobile web on your phone. it's usually $5/month with most companies. and it's nice now because it's broadband speed. you can always add that for a period of time and remove it if you see that it's not worth it. there's not obligation to keep that on your account. also, usually it will use up airtime as well while you're on the web. if you're with verizon, you can add the VCAST package for $15 which will give you the web, streaming video, and free airtime for data usage

You can check to see what your options are by going to:

http://mobile.yahoo.com/services

This will let you know what Yahoo! services are available on your phone and you can guide yourself through a tutorial on how to get started.
Reply:You have to have internet on your phone, then go to yahoo and log in. Good luck!

My computer came with an email provider how can i change it?

just sign up for the service you want, same as you did for yahoo and then you could go to%26gt;tools%26gt;internet options and under the programs tab make sure it is set for the service you want for email. You could remove the service you have if you are sure you don't want it by going to the control%26gt; add/remove programs and look for the present email that came with PC, otherwise just keep using yahoo or which ever one you want.

Reply:I don't believe that type of service exist, although the technology is available to what your trying to do.

I laugh at the people who didnt fully read your question. LOL
Reply:GMail is great, there are few ads, and they're only text. Also, you get over 2 GB of storage space, so you never have to delete emails, but you can archive them so that your inbox is clean. It's also pretty flexible in how you access it.

Send it before you go to bed! Whats the diff?
Reply:lame response. Report Abuse

Reply:I'm not sure if you can do this using an actual email provider, but I know that if you're using Linux you can set up a cron job to send it out via your favorite email program. Outlook might have support to do it, but I'm not certain.

Hi, anyone know a GOOD free email provider, and your reasons why please.

Hotmail seems to have declined a lot lately, and GMAIL is just too creepy.

Does anyone know of an email service provider that lets you know when a sent email has been read?

Nope. Outlook will tell you *IF* you are on the same network, but not if the person receiving it is on a different network. You can always request a confirmation that it has been opened, but the person receiving the mail gets a notice first letting them know that the sender has requested a confirmation and asking if it should be sent or not, and they can choose not to send the confirmation. The only exception to this is if both people are on AOL, then they will be able to look at the details of the sent mail to see if it has been opened. But if you're still on AOL you should really think of making some changes... there's a whole world out there, why let AOL/TimeWarner decide what's appropriate for you?

micorsoft outlook (purchase with MS Office) or outlook express (free with windows XP)
Reply:I do not think this is possible cause otherwise people have no privacy and you could know everything they were doing on the computer.
Reply:use your gmail account in microsoft outlook 2000 or 2003

gmail pop settings are

G Mail POP Details

Incoming Mail(POP3) : Pop.Gmail.com

Outgoing Mail(SMTP): Smtp.Gmail.com

Server Port Numbers (for Gmail)

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) :Port Number 465

Incoming Mail (POP3) : Port Number 995
Reply:I don't think any regular provider does that because of privacy. You can only check it if you are within the same system like at work.
Reply:no. sorry.
Reply:For security reasons, no programs can do this.

If you use MS Outlook or Outlook Express you can do this!!

You just tick where it says confirmation of having been read!

But this is not fool proof as the person who receives your message will be asked if they want to send the confirmation that they have read it. If they say no, you will never know if they have received it or not!!

What do people in china use as there email provider is it QQ or something?

please tell me what kind of software they use is it 43795438543@qq.com or something else @
What do people in china use as there email provider is it QQ or something?
They can use pretty much anything they like. Yahoo does a Chinese email service, too.

qq is an instant messenger service used in Asia. It's like MSN or Yahoo messenger.

I dare say it can also provide email addresses like a normal ISP, but an address ending in @qq.com doesn't necessarily mean that the person is in China.
Reply:They have most of the big ones like Yahoo/ Google/ MSN Outlook Express plus many Chinese ones like tom.com/ 163.com.

Yes they have QQ but its a messenger like Yahoo or Skype and there are here too
